HeyItsRemi.com - through the years

2013 was my second year running HeyItsRemi.com and when I really started to figure out how I wanted to run my site. I had built the website myself through wordpress when I was fourteen and decided on using it for celebrity news by the age 15. At that point, I was getting over 4 thousand views a day. Above are some stats from that year.

By 2014 I was working with Scooter Braun, confirming and debunking rumors. I became one of the most trustworthy sources for news related to Justin Bieber for most Beliebers. Major news sites would take my updates.

By 2016 I started to veer of the celebrity news path and more towards the hoping to inspire others path. I wrote blogs about getting through tough times, advice on starting your career at a young age and even did interviews with people who I thought would go viral at some point.

Why I stopped

During 2016 I was hospitalized for two months, during that time my beloved website was hacked. The hacker planted viruses on every post I ever uploaded, which was over 100,000. I had to erase the entire site in order to rid the virus. I also started college in 2016, as my focus shifted HeyItsRemi.com became a fun story to tell. Looking back it prepared me for my career field today and is how I found my love for communications, reporting and social media marketing and management.
